2019. The Beginning of BBA’s Journey
2019 marked the beginning of Beauty Business Aesthetics. That was the year BBA was founded, and a small team took its first steps toward building a company that continues to introduce modern professional aesthetic technologies to the Ukrainian market today.
In 2019, we first introduced Vivace RF—a microneedling radiofrequency system, alongside BDR (Beauty Defect Repair)—a German professional skincare platform. These two technologies became BBA’s first major brand partnerships and helped shape our future development.
Vivace RF brought a new approach to skin treatments. By combining microneedling with radiofrequency energy, it made it possible to address skin quality and texture, signs of aging, acne scars, enlarged pores, and other aesthetic concerns. Today, RF microneedling is well known among Ukrainian aesthetic practitioners, but in 2019, the technology was only beginning to establish its place in the professional market.
For BBA, Vivace was more than the first device in our portfolio. It marked the beginning of our aesthetic devices division. Over the years, Vivace RF became one of the company’s bestsellers and the choice of hundreds of Ukrainian clinics. For us, however, it will always be the technology that stood at BBA’s beginnings. Today, Vivace is featured on our website as a bestseller among RF microneedling systems, with a partner network of more than 250 clinics across Ukraine.
Our second key direction was BDR—Beauty Defect Repair. This German system offered a different perspective on professional skincare, combining device-based treatments, active peptide cosmeceuticals, and step-by-step protocols that can be adapted to different skin types and conditions. BDR brings together professional in-clinic treatments and homecare products, creating a comprehensive approach to client care.
Introducing Vivace RF and BDR at the same time was particularly meaningful to us. One brought innovative device-based technology; the other, comprehensive professional skincare. From the very beginning, these two directions shaped the approach BBA continues to follow today: modern aesthetic practice is built on the thoughtful combination of technologies, professional expertise, and consistent skin care, rather than a single treatment or device.
In 2019, everything was just beginning. Our team consisted of three people, with our first clients, training sessions, new partnerships, and many unknowns still ahead. But our purpose was already clear: to find outstanding international technologies and make them accessible to Ukrainian practitioners.
That is how BBA’s journey began.
And its first chapters were Vivace RF and BDR.
